In the spirit of Wilson from Tim Allen's Tool Time program, 1Minute poses for a rare picture. Nine days of dawn to dusk effort in NE Oregon's fall beach like weather and the only bull that came within a mile of my coordinates. Near all sightings were frustratingly in the last minutes of daylight leaving no opportunity to traverse extensive landscapes. First round was a miss at 400+ with a poor rest and possibly slug passage through some obstructing grass. Animal chose the wrong direction, however, and was dropped with a lowish broadside heart shot at about 200. The 30-378 barks loud and hard. Not quite what I was dreaming of, but given zilch + one in the number of opportunities presented, I decided to pull the trigger. Thanks for comments. With passage of my 73rd year about a month back there just might not be many left in the larder for me. I know it's hard to believe, as I look as though I'm still in those baby faced 20's. Heading down later to see how Cookie's been doing with her cameras on deer. She's been out for about 14 days and from a text or two it sounds like bucks are a bit harder to come across this year. Will likely get a few pics up in a couple weeks.
