Damn. Good save. You have to be mentally ill to toss a little kitten out on the side of the road.

Happens on my country road all the time. We rescue a cat every week on average, dogs about one a month.

My neighbor manages our small local dump. He has a burn pit in which you can dump wood, brush, cardboard etc. He lights it up on Saturday mornings and you can come by and just toss your stuff in the fire. He was walking by the pit one day and heard some strange noise, saw a bag moving.....someone had tossed a gym bag full of live kittens on the fire. He pulled them out, only one survived.

Killing doesn't bother me, if done right. There is no reason to cause undue pain and suffering to an animal, no matter if you happen to like those animals or not. Makes you wonder what kind of person does this sort of thing, and what kind of thoughts were going through their mind when they did it.

I agree. Or if necessary.

It is when done brutally or unnecessarily and without regard for life that I have an issue with killing.
