I've hunted just south of there for many years near Cooks Run off 120. Both side of the Susquehanna. Pretty rugged for PA.
We've gotten a few. Always sign.

Our camp is along Kettle Creek. That's definitely a productive area for bear but it does get a surprising amount of pressure for how steep the terrain is, at least on the Cross Fork/144 side of the mountain. Lots of drives with large hunting parties. I'm not sure about the other side of the mountain over toward Wharton as we typically don't venture over that way.
