OK so I "sold" an item here on 1 Nov. Buyer said that he would take it and that postal money order was enroute. He send a shipping address to send item to. No contact since then. My messages are still unread and has not posted anything on this site since. Still waiting and of course have not sent item.
Have I fulfilled my obligation and relist item?
Where does everybody stand on this?

Has he been on site? You can see when he was last on the forums. If he’s been on site and hasn’t responded, I’d say you won’t be getting funds. The pm’s have probably been emailed to him and I’d bet he’s read them.

10 days is plenty long enough. As I’ve been thinning out some things I know I’ll never use, I've been amazed by the number of folks that will tell you they’ll take something and then you never hear from them again.

I think you’re good to go. I understand sometimes things happen, but if he said it was sent and it still hasn’t arrived and you haven’t heard from him, let er rip.
Personally, I work in the oilfield and from 6am - 6pm every day. If someone accepts payment by PayPal, I’ll pay them instantly. If they only want a money order or a check, I’ll make sure they’re okay with waiting until I can send it, sometimes a few weeks because of my schedule, before committing to buy it. Then, staying in contact with them is important until it’s sent and letting them know, usually with a photo of the money order and addressed envelope, that it’s on its way.
If you’re not hearing anything and it was supposedly sent two weeks ago, I’d say you’re in the clear to relist.

Realist it. You’ve waited what anyone would consider a reasonable amount of time.

Buyer has not been on the site since he said he will take it 10 days w/0 contact is certainly plenty of time to wait. Given the time of year, the only thing that might give me pause to re-list would be a chance the buyer is out hunting and away from any internet access.

Ten days to two weeks is my limit..... I've had one and only one campfire member do that to me. No big deal.

I had a fella die on me. Glad I didn't wait. So inconsiderate.

Over the course of my internet purchases I have had two people die. In one's case the son stepped up to the plate for me. Can't imagine how hard that was for him. The other deal, I lost $350 on.
I will allow two weeks maximum. I normally am preoccupied for a couple of weeks at a time so waiting that long is of no consequence to me.
