My son shot 3 deer this year with his .243 and 100 gr Core-Lokt Ultra bonds. These were not the hypersonic Factory loads, but component bullets I handloaded.
The big mulie buck was shot in the next at 180 yards. Broke the spine and bullet was recovered in the muscles of the neck. Probably 60% of shank left. Good performance.
Next two were does through the ribs.
What I CAN tell you about this bullet from the .243 - it opens extremely fast, entrance and exit holes were both about 1.5" in diameter. As the second deer ran away at 70 yards, I could actually SEE the entrance hole through my binoculars. There was no mistaking where it was hit. A bit violent for my tastes, but what a HOLE. I wouldn't hesitate to use this bullet on elk or moose from the .243. Exits on both does.

I have about (6) boxes of loaded Remington factory ammo with this bullet, it is the 140 gr. for 7mm saum. I have been hesitate to try on anything larger than Carolina sized whitetail but an Aoudad may get a poke with one in January.
PASS IT ON!

How was the accuracy with that bullet compared to others in your gun?

These were handloads - I have since been unable to find Component bullets - Remington tells me they only offer components when they have a surplus. I bought theses maybe 6 years back and have never seen them since.
If you see them as component bullets, GRAB THEM. Price was similar to Interlocks when I purchased.
They ARE offered in REM Hypersonic Factory loads.
Accuracy was OUTSTANDING AT NEAR MAX LOADS.Best this gun has done with handloads, around 3/4" at 100 yards. Fusions give similar accuracy.
Buck - 180 yards, large mulie. Broke neck/spine. When deboning we dug until we found the bullet. It was NOT picture perfect but retained about 60% of the shank. Spine was shattered.
2nd mulie was a fawn at maybe 40 yards, broadside. Complete pass through, Fairly large entrance and exit wounds. Dropped at the shot. Very little meat damage.
3rd Mulie was a large doe - shot at about 70-80 yards, standing broadside. When she exited the trees, I could SEE the entrance wound, about 1.5" diameter. I have NEVER ever seen this before. She ran about 40 yards and dropped. We back tracked to the shot...….blood trail was instantaneous on both sides, heavy flow. Skinning showed entrance and exit to be about the same size, 1.5". Impressive for a .243. A bit more damage than I prefer on this doe. I would want to avoid shoulders.
My take on these: They are bonded, open very quickly and wide, penetrate plenty deep. Maybe not as deep as others. I assume the jacket is relatively thin up front and then gets very heavy, In a study I saw of bonded bullets, these opened widest, but penetrated least. However, it blew through that 3rd big doe so how much more would you want.
I would not take the .243 as my elk/moose rifle.....but if I DID, I would have faith in these bullets, if placed in the ribs.
