Gotta love field mallards... Yeah was a lot of fun. My buddy shot a Pintail, me not so lucky. No banded birds.

Very cool...I miss duck hunting, but not the duck eating. 😎 Really? I love eating them. Soak them in milk for 12 or so hours. Then season or marinate to your likings. DON'T over cook them, medium is about perfect. It is the only thing I have ever found MILK to be good for!

Allen, I will try it...I’ve baked-roasted only the Mallards, which ain’t bad when eating a good northern bird. I’ve sauté them, stir fried them. Jerked them and marinated them...Never tried the milk dunk. We would kill 7 each a day x 3 of us. 21 on Saturday and 21 Sunday. 42 birds most weekends. A pard hated them, but loved busting them. Our family would end up with all the ducks. Ate a lot of them... I really did stop hunting them after tiring of the taste...I’ve missed it for several years, now. The Benelli SBE is ready though. Grins 😎
