I was grinding some oxidized aluminum off a boat part yesterday, and the smell flashed me back to those cap guns.
Shooting them one at a time was not at fun as hammering an entire roll.

Shooting them one at a time was not at fun as hammering an entire roll. I popped way more caps on the driveway with a hammer or a brick than in the cap gun. Also did it with a shotgun primer once. ONCE!🤠

Ditto on the hammer. A whole roll of caps struck with a hammer made a pretty good bang.

Well, duh! The barrel is pointing the wrong way. I had a paperback book at one time- "Nevada Smith", by Zane Grey. The cover artist obviously knew about the same as the above meme. He wa firing a revolver (possibly cap and ball) with several hulls flying through the air.

U guys remember those metal bombs in load with caps a threw ? Twist the top an open insert a couple caps..an throw !

I watched about half of it just for McQueen, I do not recommend the movie.

I had an M1 Garand that used those roll caps!
Had a rig with 2 of those cap pistols, one on each side. I don’t remember if they were pony boy.
I was a fairly well armed kid back in the day.
