They are coached to hold on every play, because the coaches know the refs will not call it on every play. Been that way for decades at OU. Yep.

Hawks looking to be spoilsports ... 20-3 yardbirds over gophers I expected it. Looks like Minnesota was a pretender. Pretender? Really? Minnesota lost a close game on the road to a ranked team and they're pretenders? Their kicker was injured and as a result they tried some long fourth downs when normally they would have been kicking field goals. They tried and missed a field goal and an extra point - and lost by 4 points. They are now 9-1. They'll likely beat Northwestern, which will leave them 10-1. Then they'll play Wisconsin at home. If they beat Wisconsin, which is quite possible, they'll win their division and play in the Big 10 championship game and a good shot at the Rose Bowl. If they don't they'll end up 10-2 with a premium bowl game. For real.

Of course, a man could make an argument that only through the greatness of Norman do those kids shine. Texas seems to recruit a TON of talent and yet falls flat pretty regularly. Hard to figure...

I feel the same way every time I watch the Sooners get hammered in a title or playoff game...which is EVERY time since 2002. I know your pain. I just donβt try and convince myself the other team is βcheatingβ. We all have our coping mechanism I guess. I drink whiskey and curse at my lab. You might give that a try sometime instead.
