She is aware. Her first words when we got up to it were "are you going to enter this one into the contest?"

Of course I cut the sack off and hung it in a tree then forgot to take a picture.

Not being the Judge but merely a lowly contestant, I am of the opinion that stealing a dink is a positive thing. As hard as it is to harvest (Like that word?) a world class dink, to take one away from another would demonstrate one's competitive nature.

I agree. There may have been some elbows involved in trying to get into position for the shot. Maybe.

The boys keep telling me that I'll never shoot a dink as long as I keep shooting these mature Alberta White tails.
Well, I have one tag left, Hope Springs Eternal!

It's good to take a cull buck every now and then. You don't want those dark heavy antler genes spreading around if you can help it

They gave you a spot to hunt and you had to stay there. So success largely depended on where you were placed. Some couples got a buck and all three antlerless. Others saw none all day.

We didn't see anything until about 11oclock. When a little doe came through the brush in front of us. Unable to make a shot, we were discouraged as we just weren't seeing many deer like I had in years past hunting there.

At 11:50 a little one came out and I pointed it out to my wife and she began to get set up for the shot. She hit a tree directly in front of the deer but the deer just stood there staring. She worked the slide on her Mossberg 20ga and somehow jammed it up with her glove. I attempted to unjam her glove and she told me to shoot the deer, so I did.

Bonus points for stealing it from my wife?

This monster dressed out right at 40lbs. Although I don't have a scale picture unfortunately.

Last is a picture of a buck shot in the next unit over. To be successful at dinking you have to be willing to work hard, be persistent, and pass sub par bucks like that.

What a fantastic dink, congrats to you. Just a real slammer of a dink. It takes great marksmanship to even hit an animal of that stature, especially with your adrenaline coursing full-bore and your heart beating at about 7000BPM. I’m impressed. Wish I had a dink even twice that big to carry around in my pocket, with all the others.

We got a dink yesterday.
Standing by the Jeeps, trying to figure out how to get my deer out of the woods, the sherriff stopped by.
Button took a truck bumper down the road.
Buddy got the permit for it.

Dink, that could easily be folded to fit in a game vest pocket.

We need pictures or it didn't happen. A picture of the wreckage might add style points, but that would be up to the judge.

Very nice, congrats. But he's just another loser.

You think your taxi can fix the G4 on the right side. I had my guy build a brow tine one time and you couldn't even tell.

He could add the tine back and make it look perfect. But it was missing when I shot him so thats the way he will stay.

Didnt break off while in my possession.

Just is what it is.

Saved me a couple hundred, as if not busted proly would have gotten shoulder mount.

The.ol lady is pissed I didnt.

Getting a dink with your truck definitely should get some bonus points

That's serious dedication right there

I gotta find the pic, is in trash on pc

Dunno how much damage the truck had. Minimal I reckon.
No glass or plastic at impact scene,
We did not hit it, were just the lowly janitors.

Don't have the does. Bud says pop a button.
I dunno, new .30-06 aint been blooded.
Dedication..............burn 25 dollars for an antlerless tag and drive 12 miles to knock the spots off one.
Best think about it.
Not sure I wanna be a forum darling.

Proly need to half arse it and use my bow on the tag I have.

Nobody I know is worth donating a deer to, some folks hard up but they're A holes and I'd rather have them starve.

You clearly don't have the drive or determination to win a contest like this.

It's ok, every contest needs some losers.

Haha. I think bonus points apply for jeeps as well!!

Any points for dink bear? I got my first bear yesterday and it definitely qualifies in the dink category! I was happy and excited anyway.
