Lots of very talented western artists, both alive and dead. I appreciate the detail and character they all have.

Not everybody can draw a horse. bump The way he highlights and shows the muscling of the horse is incredible. They look like photographs when you first look at them. The storm cloud detail is also lifelike also.

He is probably using a technique similar to Boris Vallejo's to paint such realistic and proportioned animals and men. I wonder too if it is acrylic paint to give it that flat photo look. This artist has taken it to next level as far as realism compared to most painters.
