I’m looking for proven a accurate 1/2” to 3/4” at 100 yards consistent shooting rifle. Main use will be for deer, but might see some limited elk and bear action. Looking for a rifle that weighs somewhere around 5.5 to 6.5 ponds bare, possibly up to 7lbs. Stainless synthetic, preferred but I’m not opposed to wood or blued rifles, or cerakote type finishes. Looking for something in the 270, 280, 280AI, 6.5 prc, 7mm wsm etc. factory rifles, semi custom rifles, etc. are all welcome. I’ve got cash, and possibly a trade or two to offer. Mostly looking for a cash deal though. Also, I can’t afford a 3k or 4K custom build. Looking to keep it around $1500, with a little leeway for the right rifle. Please send offers via pm. I know that’s pretty open ended, but I’m just looking for something different, and don’t want to mess with load workup at this point in life, even though that’s half the fun of getting a new rifle.
Oh, and believe it or not, deer bite. Fairly hard.

This is your answer. Cool as chit .280In the interest of full disclosure, I have recently killed a pile of elk and deer with a .280 so my perspective might be jaded. Also, I have no personal connection to the seller. I just know a cool rifle when I see one. Dave

I notice the .30-06 isn't on your list, yet with that exception, I own exactly the rifle you describe--a New Ultra Light Arms .30-06 that has taken more big game in various places around the world in my hands and my wife's than any other we own since 1996 at ranges out to 500 yards. But obviously the chambering won't work.
It's not for sale.

It's not for sale. JB, 30-06 would obviously work excellent as well. I just didn’t add it in my post since I already have 3 of them. None of them are what I would consider super accurate. And none of them are going anywhere for sentimental reasons. Figured I would add something new to the safe.

Iddave’s suggested 280 Rem. above would be my pick.
That hunters edge McMillan stock is wonderful! I own 2(one on a Rem 700 and one on a Tikka T3X).
Plus customized stainless barreled action in an awesome caliber! The 280 Rem is just cool!
What’s not to like?

I haven’t advertised this rifle, but I have a Christensen Arms Carbon Classic in .300 RUM I would part with. Will kill anything in North America. Carbon-wrapped barrel with 38 rounds down the pipe, and just slightly over your weight requirement at 7.1 pounds. Has the sporter synthetic stock, not the Monte Carlo version. As-new cosmetically. Has the integrated picatiny rail, fluted bolt and a Timney trigger. Easily meets your accuracy requirements. $1,700 shipped with the titanium radial brake, and $200 more with a CA Slayer 3-port titanium side discharge brake. Also includes a thread protector. I might add some premium ammo in the right deal. Drop me a PM if interested.

Have a HVA Full Stock in excellent condition. 30-06 caliber. Weighs 7.5 lbs. with scope. Accurate and excellent build quality.
