RJM, thanks for all the links!
I was checking that GT site a few days ago & looking at buying a 250 pack of the 215 hollow points plus 2 bags of Starline 41 special brass. I've never delt with them, do you find their bullets to be of good quality?
Enjoyed Taffins take on the 41, looking to try his 2400 & Unique loadings with some older commerical cast 215 SWC BB I have inhouse in some cut down 41 magnum brass. I can run them over the chronograph in my 657 no dash 3" er.

41Rem, if you don't want to cut down 41 mag brass just to try the 41 Special, let me know and I'll send you 25 pieces of Starline 41 Special brass to start out with. I probably shoot more 41 Special stuff anymore than full house 41 mag. This is the latest 41 Special that Andy Horvath did for me on a converted model 28.

41...I make most all my own cast bullets but I think I did get some 10mm bullets from him a while back...very nice bullets. Talked to him for a while and turns out his favorite caliber is .41 Magnum which is why he has so many designs available... I have two .41 Specials...a USFA Shooting Master 5.5" that David Clements made up and a Uberti Cattleman 4.75" SAA that Jack Hunting just finished. Those two and three Taurus Trackers all eat up Specials... Bob

Thanks gentlemen. I have about 100 cut down 41 magnum cases so I'm good. Have run the Speer 200 grain 1/2 jacket over 7.5 grains in 41 special case in the past. Down to about 200 PC of that particular bullet & their not making any more.
Like an everyday lead hollowpoint load, I'll work up one with Unique & another with 2400 using that 215 from GT looking to get 1000 fps from the 4" Tracker when it shows up.

My 41 Special was built by Alan Harton a number of years ago on an OM Single Six platform. A beautiful piece that likes a 210 gr cast SWC over 5.5 grains of Unique.
