That particular cat was going to live, 'till it chomped on a dog.
Long story, but I learned a few valuable lessons that day...Don't shoot FMJs through the chest if you want something to die pronto....A cougar that plays possum as you straddle it (what kind of cougar?) will make a guy crap his drawers, two bullets lodged into a barrel while a lion has a dog in it's mouth is a good way to get a guy's heart rate up and don't kick a lion or yank on it's tail, even if it is being stretched by 4 other hounds.
After an expensive vet bill that first hound was going crazy trying to kill a house cat in a cage in the vet's office...they're persistent.
Drink lots of beer after an event such as this.

Used to go every year, catch my Montana fish then hop the border into NoDak and catch 2 more.
Miss doing it, but there's too many rules associated with catching them these days. Dunno why, but that's a bucket list fish for me.... Fun as hell to snag. Get you a 80-90# fish hooked in the tail and you will think you're going to be pulled right in the river!! Damn good eatin when cleaned and fixed right.
The last time that bear ate a lawyer he had the runs for 33 days!

I run into felons I've housed numerous times on the streets out in public etc and have NEVER felt in fear for my or my families life, but I've only worked with felons for 20 years....
