Your bet?

Do you think that company will ever turn a profit? Without taxpayer subsidies they'd be history, It's not the American taxpayers job to keep these companies afloat. Get after them President Trump.

One of the local lads has one of the new Suzuki and I like it, apparently they are also bringing back an updated "Stockman" with the tray. I am told the Kiwis already have them in NZ. They will sell like hotcakes here.

Suzuki stopped selling vehicles in the USA and from what I was reading about the jimny they have no plans to start selling in USA again anytime soon. Unfortunately I don’t think we will see them here

A 1995 Toyota or a 1995 Ranger body with their electrics in it would probably have gotten more.
Realize they wanted to make a “splash”, but a small reliable electric pickup would have really changed much of the “fleet truck” industry....

200,000 order by people who won't use them for any real work.

It doesn't mean much. When they announced the smaller sedan a few years ago, tons of people put down either $1000 for a reservation or $2500 for a deposit once they went into production. For the truck, they lowered the price of a reservation to $100. For many people in the urban areas, where Teslas are popular, this is pretty close to the price of dinner, so my guess is that lots of the tech workers made the reservation just for the heck of it and will get a refund in a few months when they get bored with the idea.

For $100 it is probably a smart move. With a little luck, supply lags behind demand and by getting in early, you could sell yours to some fool in CA who needs to be "first" and will pay through the nose for it. Only risk is $100 and the fact your name is associated with buying one.
What you do today is important, you are trading a day in the rest of your life for it.

I heard 150K yesterday. There are a lot of tasteless people in the world.
We may know the time Ben Carson lied, but does anyone know the time Hillary Clinton told the truth?
Immersing oneself in progressive lieberalism is no different than bathing in the sewage of Hell.
