I think I was more jacked about getting the bear.....

Killing a black bear in Eastern Montana was pretty cool for me...;)

Two tags cut in a 13 hour stretch, after an 18 day dry spell....

This was early October. I took the bear with a rifle.

Luck....is the residue of design...

Congrats! Looks like a big bear, and obviously a nice bull.

Scenarshooter: Congratulations on taking the two great trophies this year!
Good for you.
I first Hunted, what I consider to be eastern Montana, in the late 1960's and have only seen 2 (two!) Black Bears "over there" in all that time.
Keep up the good "work".

Well done Pat!! That bear looks like a brute of a bear! Might just be the picture but that bear almost makes that elk looks small smile

Ya done good....real good! Congratulations on both. And, I can understand being a bit more “pumped” about the Bear. Even in good bear country......you rarely see a herd of bears! grin memtb

Congrats Pat!
If I were a critter in NE Montana and heard you were on an 18 day dry spell, I'd be sweating. grin
