IMO the Shockwave is about as short as a shotgun can get while still being considered useful. Accurate and controllable (comparatively) while holding enough rounds to address the reality that cretins usually travel with other cretins. While a buttstock would make it a great SBS, it’s still a decent force multiplier that travels well in small spaces. Just my .02c

I have a friend that shows up to my Class 3 shoots that I intermittently hold out at the farm. He has two ultra-short shotgun pistols that he made himself. With light #6 squirrel loads, the things are only uncomfortable to shoot. He said he tried 00-Buck out of one of them once-- only once.

Who was that character, think it was a John Wayne flick that James Caan played, carried a similar shotgun? He had to hold his hand over the top to push it down?

For that much I'd go a different route. You can get a Glock 19 for that, reloading is easier, and quicker. Plus you could actually have a gunfight.
