Tried Search function, but didn't come up with anything.
Here's what I'm looking for, hoping someone here might know of just the thing..

Midweight thermal top and bottom. Must fit a tall and lanky sumbich (me).

Material: NOT poly. Much prefer Merino wool or similar natural blend. Poly, no matter treated or not, always ends up stinking, IME.

Top: long sleeved with quarter zip or partial button down. No crew necks for me. Arms must be generously long. Collar is preferred, but not mandatory.
Bottom: piss flap, and again must be long in leg.

Any ideas?

Icebreaker.. they look to be awfully proud of their gear. If I'm going to spend that much on clothing other than boots I'm going to want to wear it on the outside so I can show it off

Buy when its on sale...bought over a half dozen pieces when they were 50% off Sierra and direct. Difficult to wear out with careful laundering.

Couple of the striped Oasis tops I saved for going out.

Andrew Skurka made a 6000 mile, several month circuit of the Yukon. He's got yt vids. He says you're going to get wet, no matter what you wear or do, so he prefered polyester, cause it dries out so much faster. He says he startled a grezzly that had been eating cranberries and it ran off in a panic, spraying feces as it fled. He said "I literally scared the s**t out of a grizzly bear". :-)

couple of newer merino outfits to look at- vroomi and duckworth; they have light to heavy merino base layers (and in-between)

merino does feel nice next to the skin, definitely combats odor better and "feels" warmer (not sure it actually is given the same fabric weight for synthetic), but synthetic to dry faster- no doubt about that

I'll typically choose merino for multi-day trips and when it starts getting really cold (like I said it "feels" warmer), shorter trips and non-frigid conditions I use synthetic

I like Minus 33.

I have minus 33 in boxer/briefs that are great. For thermals I have Patagonia.

High end wool isn't cheap, I'm not sure why this is surprising. Icebreaker, Ibex, Smartwool and Ortovox for me. I'm sure there are other good choices.

I really love First Lite stuff. Holds up nicely; like the quarter zip & hoody options, and on the tops I like the “thumb hook” feature. Different weights too.

Wore a pair of their boxer briefs for a week on the AT and they didn’t stink anywhere near what they should have!
