I am in the market for a bolt action chambered in 280 rem, possibly consider the AI chamber. Not sure of my budget yet, guess it depends on whats offered. I would go for the newer model Rem 700 SS MTN rifle in 280 Rem, depending on price.Let me knnow what you have and what you are looking to get for it. Also a Rem 700 CDL SF model in 280 would be on my list of interest.
things I am mainly wanting
Stainless action and barrel, but would consider a black action and stainless barrel
fiberglass or synthetic stock
Rem 700 action is my first choice
280 rem chamber 22''-24'' barrel
280 AI chamber 24''

Something to consider...

You could send this to Birdsong, have it treated with Black-T, and still be just under $600 for a brand new .280 that would be dead-nuts reliable and impervious to weather.

Well I was offered a 1979 Remington 700 BDL 7mm express stamped rifle last night, for a price that could not be passed up. I may scoop it up and hoard it, and continue my search for something in stainless.

Well I think I am going to scoop up the one I posted the pic up for now and then have to save a little more for something in stainless. But I did check out that one and its about exactly what I am wanting.
