I get that you are trying to say, I just can't understand it. I'm 5'10" and have never had an issue with it. I guess we all see the world from our own perspective. That goes the same for recoil tolerance. Heck, I understand that there are people who can eat either peas or black olives without gagging or vomiting. I'd rather be waterboarded. By the way, I love the 340.

So at the recommendation of many, I bought my first "Tupperware Rifle" for Alaska (looking at Fll 2021 for moose), a 340 "weathernark" MkV. it is significantly lighter than an Accumark but accuracy wise, these speak for themselves. I topped it off with a Zeiss Diavari 3X9X36... Unfortunately it's one of the last Paso Robles rifles and I got it for a pretty darned good price. I was disappointed, but the 500 dollar savings mitigated that a bit

Unfortunately it's one of the last Paso Robles rifles and I got it for a pretty darned good price. I was disappointed, but the 500 dollar savings mitigated that a bit ........................$500 savings is substantial enough.........I have a friend who wants to buy my 338-378 Accumark. Only 160 rounds thru her..... I may take him up on that and go for one of the new Wyoming Bees on their website......Those new Weathermarks lookin pretty damned nice....Accumarks too!

I have close to 40 rifles, 37 of which are for retirement supplement.

What's especially annoying to me is a short barreled 223 with a loudener on the end being operated two benches over by a guy shooting cheap ass ammo as fast as he can pull the trigger. I double up on hearing protection but the blast sends pressure waves through my sinuses, not the best thing for my concentration. No kidding. I’ve never had a rifle with a brake and when I see somebody shooting a braked 223 I question their manhood.

.340 Wby brass is easier to get but expensive,.338 RUM is a hair faster than the .340. Flip a coin.

You can easily make .340 brass from Rem. 8 mag brass size and trim.. I like mine, but it is a custom barreled Rem..

Bob Hagel used to make .340 brass from Winchester-Western .375 H&H brass. The .340 Wby Norma brass was "soft" according to Bob.

Jorge, I hope mine shoots that well! I have a 300 Wby Weathermark that was one of the 2019 RMEF banquet rifles. I’ve just loaded up some 180 Partitions to begin development. May also be trying 200 Partitions and 200 Accubonds. If things go well, it may be making the trip north with me next year on my moose and bear hunt.

Jorge - somehow you get great groups with TSX's in all your Weatherby's. For anyone interested, I've shot his .300 and .257 Roy and they will make 3 hole cloverleafs all day. His .257 loads shoot great in my custom Mauser. IME if a gun wont shoot a Nosler BT or a Barnes TTSX/TSX well it probably wont shoot much else well either.

I havent fooled with any new weatherby brass, but the 80's vintage stuff I have played with was pretty soft. Same story for newer 280 rem, 300 WSM and 300 Ultra Norma brass.

John, The .300 Weatherby and 168 gr TTSX is a marriage made in heaven. I’ve had excellent accuracy results with Magpro and RL 26 with that bullet. Every elk and deer shot with that load has gone straight down. Happy Trails
