Anyone use one? Are they a gimmick or do they allow you to be undetectable to game?

I think they work great...as long as you have the wind in your face.

I think it's a gimmick. I have one and have never been able to tell any difference when wearing the suit. I knew a guy who was renting property with a good deer population. He was a great believer in HEC suits but I doubted him Bottom line was if I wanted to hunt there I had to get a suit. I did but firmly believe it was a waste of money.

People can't appreciate how sensitive a deer's nose is. Suit or not, it can smell your breath and your aftershave. The only way to completely hide your scent is to be inside a big ziplock bag...and you probably need to on the bottom of a pond even then.

Hecs suits aren't for scent control. They're supposed to keep game from detecting your electrical energy field.

Guy I work with was filling me in a while back. “Man I seen this new deal, our bodies give off a magnetic field and deer can see that”. Then of course he followed it up with, “ but they got this suit now you can buy that covers that up”.

I hunt the wind and don’t even wear camo most of the time and manage to kill more stuff in a year than lots of these guys who are buying into this schit do in a decade. Indians and arrows and fools and money and all that.

They could do that on Star Trek. I was always hoping 7 of 9 would detect my energy field.

I have used one. Yeah, I drank the coolaid. It always seemed to work. But I rarely have trouble getting a whitetail. Be Well, Rustyzipper.

Who came up with the idea of an electrical energy field? That comes from some New Age religion. Keep an animal from seeing you move or smelling you and he won't spook.

OTOH...how do horses or cows know when an electric fence is on? One theory is that the current creates an area of ozone around the charged wire and they can smell ozone. Does this suit contribute to the ozone layer?

One of my bowhunters has a little black box ozone-ater thingy he screw into the tree he sits in. The fugging thing cost $400 bucks, and everyone that's used the tree before him, without the magic snake-oil box, seemed to score anyway.....He gets pissed when I laugh at him.

I remember that ‘ozone thingy’ being promoted before Hecs.

Never wasted a .01 on either.

Ozone Generators work. Now wait a minute and hear me out!

They are used commercially all the time.

However they do not work in the hunting world!

Yes, yes, yes you can kill the odor on your clothes with one. However as soon as it is removed and worn you create more odor.

Yes those Tree mounted boxes mask small, KEY WORD HERE SMALL amounts of odor. Not small enough to fool an animal.

Last your skin is constantly exfoliating! Tiny tiny microscopic pieces that animals can and do smell.
