Is that the horse stall mat stuff? It is a Polyester Resin/Polyester Fabric. Sorry add I don't know anything about horse stall mats. https://www.makermaterialsupply.com/collections/terotufIt can actually be buffed. I know it says it can't but it can, just not to the point of other materials. But with that said a lighter buff keeps a better grip.

They advertise it as more shock absorbent than micarta, etc.
Does it have a little give to it or is it as hard/stiff as micarta???

Tim it is hard as hard as Micarta I am not 100% sure on.

Does it ever look attractive? Micarta in various colors coupled with pins and liners can be acceptable in the looks department while maintaining enough toughness to suit most users.
