...finally arrived, and we're shipping the books to everybody who pre-ordered today.

Sorry for the delay, but our printer in Minnesota shipped them a day later than they originally estimated, and then (apparrently due to the season) the trucking company too longer to get them to Montana than usual. They arrived their distribution center near us yesterday, but the company has a policy of giving recipients a 24-hour heads-up before delivery. So we fired up the F350 and drove the 28 miles to pick them up, and will get them to the PO this morning. Thanks for your patience.

Yeah, we have "extras." The price is $29 shipped, and you can order in three ways, all listed on our website www.riflesandrecipes.com:

1) Use a credit/debit card to order from the site.
2) Call 406-521-0273 and use a card.
3) Snail-mail a check or cash to Deep Creek Press, PO Box 579, Townsend, MT 59644-0579

Thanks!

The first five years entertained me recovering from hip replacement. Thinking this will be just as good.

The books took longer to arrive than we expected earlier in the fall. The projection (hope?) then from the printer in Minnesota was around December 1st, but they didn't get shipped until the 2nd, and then the trucking company they were shipped with had some delays due to the season. The pallet finally arrived in the local distribution center on Monday, so we jumped in the F350 and drove the 28 miles to the center. Got almost all of them in the mail Tuesday, except for a few orders from Canada and Australia, which due to a glitch in the local post-office computer couldn't be shipped until yesterday.

However, ALL the pre-orders have now been shipped, and should be showing up in at most a week. Thanks again to everybody who's ordered

Goody. A week from Montana to Australia. That's pretty good delivery time!!

My copy might take a little longer to get here I'd say.

I have six weeks holidays starting next Wednesday so the timing is perfect.

Well, maybe not Australia in a week--though will be curious about when it arrives, as the only way we can ship books internationally anymore through the U.S. postal system is priority mail, even when just to Canada--which is reasonably fast, if expensive.

It wasn't that long ago when we could mail, say, GUN GACK to Canada for something like $6.95 American. Now it's around $30.

Now THAT would be a title to grab potential readers!

Doubt I could get it past my editor. My working title for THE BIG BOOK OF GUN GACK was what ended up being the subtitle, "The Hunter's Guide to Handloading Smokeless Rifle Cartridges." Eileen said it made her want to take a nap, so after a little consulting with readers changed it. It sold so well we had to order another printing within a week....
