New rifle should arrive this or next week. I've been doing my homework. Going to run BH209 and have the Arrowhead Breechplug installed.
Concerning running The Barnes Spit-Fire TMZ or EZ with Blackhorn 209. I realize the BH209 creates no to little fouling and you get more shots between cleaning. The EZ bullet is slightly less in diameter for more tradition propellants which create the need for cleaning between shots. Anyone see any reason I should not run the EZ with BH209 in the Rem 700 UML?
Thank you,
Alan

If they’d shoot, I’d run them. The TMZ 290’s shoot well from my UML with 209. I don’t have the conversion kit in mine. But so far after a few 100 rounds of BH209 it’s been good.
I added a TriggerTech to mine and man, it’s an amazing muzzleloader.

I would ask Luke what works best. After all he made that Arrowhead breech plug system. a Friend had Luke make him a custom 45. I met Luke at his shop and after talking for a while I realized he sure knows his stuff.
Regarding the Rem Ultimate Muzzleloader. The lands are higher in this rifle. .5015" The green sabots that are packaged with 250 gr accutip bullets are specially made for this rifle. Talked to Barnes and tech said they worked with Rem to make a special package for this rifle.
From my notes: "mmp makes the sabots for the Remington 250 gr bullet 25-30% more tensile strength than other sabots." I have found a few at the range and the bases are certainly altered by the high pressures made by this rifle. Not sure how well other sabots will do.
