Lapua,
I have had all of those except the 6.5PRC, do have a 6.5-06 and that is pretty close.
The Lapua was fun, but the cheap umm I mean thrifty side didn't like the ammo expense.
Have a heavy bbl 308, too boring
Loved the two 6.5 Creeds I built for friends very easy to get shooting bugholes
300 Mag, hunted with one exclusively for 7 yrs love it, a little much recoil for me to be precise at long range
The 280 AI is lookin good, 1/8 twist, 180 gr eldm.... nice manners and performance
Also considered the 7saum, not sure it is worth the trouble over the 280?

Go with the 280 ai for the win

Thanks for the help Lapua, the 6.5-06 is very close to the 6.5PRC performance wise. My 6.5 is a lightweight hunting rifle. I am thinking I need something a little more suited for long range and sustained practice, this is why the lower recoil rounds hold appeal for me. My current long range rifle is a fast twist 22-250 shooting 75 Amax. It is fun as I can usually spot my shots. It has limitations though.
After 800 yds the wind gets me and spotting bullet impacts gets difficult.
The 6.5 Creed is probably the sweet spot, I am worried about velocity loss with the 17" barrel. The 280 makes a lot of sense , with the suppressor it should be very well behaved from the bench.

Thanks again
My 22-250

Where did the crying little EXPOSED Bitch run off too! Lives in a shack, was married to the Town Pump, is the absolute epitome of [bleep] Imagination and Pretend! I can appreciate knowledge but when it is accompanied by a $400 a day bottom feeder timber faller who thinks he knows what being in the know really is its sadder than fucqk. I'd not show that stupid, lying, piece of schit where the $1000 a day cutting is just for the fact that I don't suffer liers and drunks! Not to mention the $1000 a day cutting is Jippo so I highly doubt the stupid dillusional fucqkhead would make it back to his $400 a day dream come true

I used to Run with Bob Hildebrand and Jim Byron though I was much younger!!! Those fellas are cutting contractors in Alaska though my friend Bob passed. What the lying piece of schit Busheler doesn't understand is not only do I know exactly where the stupid lying piece of schit is but I'm in the know on most of whats going on in Alaska concerning timber falling

Its a small world 😂😂😂

He is THE BEST : best chopper drivers, best crews, best money jobs, best flame outta da vagina .

Reminds me of a local contractor who told everyone he came across that he was the best. Then everyone talked about how chitty his work was after he was gone. Takes all kinds to make the world go round and it can be funny as [bleep] when he really gets those quivering fingers slapping the keyboard.

A 6.5 Creedmoor with a 24"-26'' barrel should do you well. My 6 Creedmoor barrel is a 25" Rock and the 6.5 is a 22'' Rock.
6.5 does very well with Norma 130 gr ammo.

PVA barrel, not sure of stock and optics yet. Have a couple BC M40s lying around. Might use one of those temporarily.
Like the Manners thumbhole Chassis stocks.
