My first real interaction with Charlie was when he sent me (a guy he did not know) his out of print book Call Of The Hounds by Del Cameron to read. I tried to pay him for postage, he wouldn't take it. Matter of fact he did not include a return address. I told him I need his address to get his book back to him. Nope not if you are going to send me money he said! Charlie was a stand up guy. His word was good as gold! Dam it this is really bad news today. I hope he enjoyed the maple syrup I brought him. I know he told me he never did get to fishing with the flies I made for him. Rest In Peace My Friend. You will be sorely missed here at the fire and in Life. God Bless

I hate to hear that. I know he loved his house, and his porch, and his view of his river. I expect he was a little lonely after his wife passed, but he didn't share that too much. He knew who he was, and he was ok with who he was, and nobody off the internet was going to get him down, or make him question himself. Sure would have liked to have met him.
Godspeed Charlie, hope the hunting is great , and the scenery better, where you're headed!
