A friend and customer of mine bought a Kolar about 25+ years ago.. About 6-8 months ago he ordered a new one - the Max Lite combo... It arrived here for transfer two days ago.. The damn box musta weighed about 50#... Yow.. Got it out, opened the beautiful case it's in to record the S/N... I nearly hadda wear a bib to mop up the drool.

Holy crap... What a beautiful shotgun set... I couldn't resist - had to check the prices online; that set must have cost him something in excess of $30,000. When he picked it up he was like a kid at Christmas... I wish him the best with that beauty..

I have always liked Kolar but they don't offer 34" barrels in the sporting. frown

I'm probably off there, but I was thinking he got his first one in the '80s...

Great gun, excellent people to work with. A tour of their factory is well worth a trip to WI.
This is my second Kolar, bought my first one used, shot it about 5 years, then WON this one in a raffle. TA-MAX, 32" O/U, 34 top single.
Went to the factory to have a custom fitted stock made along with their basic engraving.
Built like a tank, fun to shoot, nice to look at. Tell your friend he has a gun that will last a lifetime.

Think the first Kolars came out in 96 or 97
