Donald Trump Jr. Went to Mongolia, Got Special Treatment From the Government and Killed an Endangered Sheep The rocky highlands of Central Asia, in a remote region of Western Mongolia, are home to a plummeting population of the largest sheep in the world, the argali. The endangered species is beloved for its giant curving horns, which can run over 6 feet in length. On a hunting trip this August, Donald Trump Jr. shot and killed one. His adventure was supported by government resources from both the U.S. and Mongolia, which each sent security services to accompany the president’s eldest son and grandson on the multiday trip. It also thrust Trump Jr. directly into the controversial world of Mongolian trophy hunting — a polarizing practice in a country that views the big-horned rams as a national treasure. The right to kill an argali is controlled by an opaque permitting system that experts say is mostly based on money, connections and politics.

Hunting is THE best thing for conservation. Simply put, if it pays it stays, pure and simple. Yes money talks. I witnessed an auction for a Texas Big Horn that brought 250K to the Sheep Foundation. As to the entourage that accompanied him, even money says HE paid for it.
A good principle to guide me through life: “This is all I have come to expect, standard lackluster performance. Trust nothing, believe no one and realize it will only get worse…”
Don,Jr. is on solid ground as an ethical hunter and conservationist. Everyone on here should be proud of him. Trump, Jr. in 2024! Eight more years of MAGA!!!
Ovis ammon ammon, also known as Marco Polo sheep have been sport hunted for decades by sportsman from around the world - in very limited numbers! Why? It is incredibly expensive. Like $100,000 for tax, tag, title, and delivery to use a phrase. Also, you better be pretty fit to hunt those mountains. Thus, the cross sections of hunters that fit both rich, fit , and desire sheep are few.
At $100K a ram, the economic benefit if great. Local people poach the "beloved sheep" for food, and have been known to do so commercially. Meat is hard to come by in those places.

Well, maybe, but as the President's son, he's entitled to SS protection & at any rate, after all the Obama family's world tours with an entourage far bigger than Jr,'s, I kinda think people might be smart to let it lie.
