I bought a scope from this seller recently and checked his “Other Items” for sale. I saw this TRP with extras at a starting price that would be a helluva deal if a guy snagged it. Comes with 7 new Wilson Combat Mags, 4 used WC mags, faux bone handles, leather holster and mag carrier...The magazine cost alone, with shipping, if bought separately would be around $300 bucks. Just passing it along should anyone want it....😎 https://www.gunbroker.com/item/847306013

He's advertising those grips as "beautiful stag," not faux bone. That's quite a bit more expensive. Those start at around $100.00.

Those guns go new for around 1250 -1300 & are one of the very best off-the-shelf 1911's available..................I bought one for my son when he finished graduate school & it's truly an excellent performer with a custom quality trigger as stock.
Considering what's with it, that's a decent deal if someone is looking for a fairly high end factory stainless 1911.

I’m very happy with my TRP, which I’ve had since the late 1990s. Never a single malfunction. Came nicely tuned. Mine has the black Armory Kote finish. Still looks good, even though I carried it for years.

Very under rated pistol, everyone gets giddy about Kimber 1911s. Ive had the black armorcoat TRP version for quite a while, very well made, shoots great, screams quality and has everything you need on it from the factory.

Not a Trophy, but a Loaded. Owned it awhilst now. Don't need it, as I have a Gold Cup too, but just can't bear to get rid of it. Like it.

The TRP is a step above the Loaded models. Not a thing wrong with the Loaded models, though. I've had one and it worked great. My stainless Mil Spec works great. All I did to it was put some night sights on it. Never had a problem with it. Shoots real nice. Reliable. Springfield Armory makes solid 1911s.

Tag for pic and opinion LD....Thanks. 😎 Beave, I'll get a pic up when I can of the stag grips. He did not include documentation on the grips. He must have forgot. Thanks for reminding me. I'll have to ask him for that. He was not as educated on shipping guns as a lot of us here. So, I had to kind of lead him by the hand on a couple things and forgot to ask about the docs on the stag grips. He did, however, include the original VZ Grips, as promised. He must have taken them off the gun as soon as he got it, because they are like brand new. One thing more, this trp has the sweetest trigger of any 1911 I've ever owned or shot. And, that's just not my opinion. I've let several friends try it and they have the same deer in the headlights look on their face after they give it a try. I don't know if he had any work done on it, it came like that, or it's just well broken in. One other customer from the gun shop has never owned a nice 1911 and would like to have it. It might go his way. Haven't decided yet.

Go about halfway down this page and you will see them. https://spressercustomgrips.com/shop/He also sells them on ebay and gunbroker for $285-325.

Yep, Sambar stag is the only authentic kind, as far as I'm concerned. Those are nice.
