You may want to check your local Walmarts for " Closeout" pricing on pistol ammo. I just picked up 7 boxes of Remington 9mm 115 grain in 250 rd boxes for $11.00 a box

Couple of weeks ago I cleared out one Walmart of Remington ultimate defense bonded 124 grain 9mm. Bought 8 boxes at 8.99 each.

Ours is marked down but not as low as others are reporting. Went by at lunch and pretty cleaned out, but did have 100rd boxes of brass winchester 45acp for 17 bucks, I got 2. And also had american eagle green tip 223, 30 bucks for 150 rounds, got the last 2.

Federal 45 ACP 230gr FMJ, 200 rounds for $30 Thanks for the heads up. I just got back from Walmart. They were already out of the Federals but they had Remington 45 auto 230gr JHPs in 100rd boxes for $25 a box. I grabbed the last 5 boxes they had. Most of the hand gun ammo they had was already gone.

just cleaned mine out of remington ultimate defense 380 102 hp $3.50 a box of 25 and 200 round winchester white box of 380 95 fmj $40 for 200.
no 9mm and 45 werent a good deal yet

Bought the last of the 9mm shooting / plinking ammo.
650 rds of odd boxes for $62 OTD.
Still had a good bit of defense ammo

That's good to know. I was wondering a little about the quality since they are sold in 100rd boxes as opposed to the 20rd boxes I usually see JHP ammo sold in.

Some of the Walmarts around her have close out pricing, some don't.
Wiped one out of .45 ACP on Friday for an average of 16 cents per round.

I often see these threads on Wal Mart special deals. This scope for 2 bucks, that rifle for 3 bucks, etc., etc. I always go in only to discover that our Wal Marts never have those sales. I heard about this sale and, even knowing Wal Mart, nationwide, was getting out of the handgun ammo business, I waited a few days. I then went in to the local Wal Mart and........empty handgun ammo slots with great "sale price" stickers. Live and learn.

Bought 8) 50 round packs of Rem and Win FMJ plinker ammo for $5/ box. Then picked up 4) 100 round packs of Win FMJ plinker stuff for $9/ box. At least 1/2 price from what the same ammo is price around town.
