That's a cool picture. Love the plaid coats.
Thanks for sharing.

Photos like this really take me back. I still have my Pennsylvania tuxedo in a footlocker up at camp.

Wool is nice, but not practical in all places.

The last time that I wore wool while deer hunting in Nebraska I got so many burrs stuck to it that it looked like 3-D applique camo and took several hours to pick most of them out.

I got a green/black plaid Bagle Wear jacket for Christmas 2004 and have it packed away for when I can put it to good use back in NH. When I was a kid it was a big deal when a boy got his Johnson Wool jacket in green/black or red/black plaid and Spruce Green pants before their coming of age deer season.

Great pic! Where in the 'Dacks?

I still wear Woolrich. Nothing better than wool to keep me warm. Ask Joe and 99guy, they beheld my self in sartorial splendor last weekend at Joe's camp in WV.

Now that I think about it I'm not sure where my ancient camo stuff is located. Deer can't see for crap anyway so why bother? Fashion, I suppose.

Unless it’s raining. Believe I still have a set of pink thermals somewhere that took on the color after I spent the entire first day of PA bear season hunting in a cold, driving rain wearing Woolrich tops and bottoms. The Woolrich must have also weighed 50 or so pounds.

There's a coincidence! My only NY hunting was on Indian Lake back in the 80's. Cabin on lake shore midway up, West shore (naturally). Bought a rifle from Don Hamilton at Pumpkin Mountain Gun shop once. Miss the spot terribly.

Cool squeeler, but I see the screws aren't indexed on your 308. What gives?

When I was coming up as a young lad in the Adirondacks we only wore Woolrich and Malone wool in those open hardwood forests.

I moved to central Pa in 1987 it didn't take me long to realize that wool was a magnet for burdock, hitchhikers and briers.

When I moved to SE Pa in 1997 I realized wool was no match for multiflori rose and autumn olive either. Only the most tightly woven Carhart canvas cloths and waste high snake chaps can get you through that stuff without blood running.

All that being said, I still have my wool up in the closet in a garment bag with a box of moth balls just in case I ever move back to Upstate NY

Fat chance.

Cool photo! Is the pic of brothers and uncles?
Looks like a family resemblance.
What is the hat the 2nd guy on the right has on?
That hat looks warm.

I have camp pictures from 20 years ago. Where did the time go?
