For you, I'd do it for free. Good thing you don't live closer, we'd probably get into too much trouble.... grin

Heavyload: After the pre-64 Model 70 Featherweight I mentioned in my previous post was "sold" it is now back on the rack for sale.
Apparently it was put on lay-a-way but something changed.

The op is still not giving any specifics on the rifle in question. Pretty worthless thread without more info. Like a dog chasing its tail...

Assuming no modifications $749.25. The scope assuming working order $75.

Bsa what more specifics do you want? I thought I described it pretty good in my 1st couple of posts.
I was over his house today bullshitting and I’m definitely going to buy it by the end of the year. Once I do I will update with pics.

Pre64
Serial #243###
Not a safe queen/pretty good condition
Monte Carlo stock
Original sights, missing front hood
Aluminum butt plate
Sling swivels
No extra holes
Weaver K4 scope
All original
I’ve been doing a little research and I do know it’s worth more than $750.

The Eagle finally landed. Sorry about the picture format but for now that’s the best I can do.
Scuff marks on the end of the barrel and minor scars on the stock. And missing the front sight hood. Other then that it’s in pretty good shape, everything is tight.
Any info on the scope would be appreciated, Weaver K4-1 micro-trac

I’m thinking of replacing the scope with something more modern. Maybe a Leupold 3.5x10

Nice rifle heavyload, you did very well. I recently saw a 1953 308 fwt with a vintage scope in original condition. I could have bought it for $900.00, but the condition was not as good as your rifle. If it were as nice as yours, i probably would have given $1,000.00 for it.

Nicely done. If you want a sight hood reproductions are available for less than $10 from Numrich

I have never owned or seen a pre-64 Model 70 shoot poor groups.
