UK sees how good things are going on over here and want some of the same. They see a great economy in the US and more importantly, they want to be free from socialism and have more freedoms.

I hope it’s a sign of things to come in the US next fall. The winds seem to be turning that way.
I think part of it is the left blocked brexit at every turn and the public got fed up with it. Whether or not someone agrees with brexit the people voted for it and it’s the height of arrogance for politicians to try and override the will of the people. Even lefties should get outraged when politicians that think they know better try to override the will of the people.

Interesting article on this, and how it is similar to Trump 2020: "Remainers" did not learn from the 2016 Brexit referendum vote. Instead of recognizing their folly in treating huge swaths of their compatriots as second-class citizens, they continued to sneer at them with metropolitan disdain. On social media, Remainers almost invariably denounced Leavers as fools or knaves, falling into that most tedious trope of political debate, which is to talk as though no one with brains and goodwill could possibly disagree with one's own opinion.
