Thank you everyone.
I was looking at sight hoods and would like to get an original. Is their any difference between the repo & originals?
The weaver scope looks good on the rifle but my eyes need something more modern.
I remember shooting this rifle back in the day, but I can’t wait to work up a good load with it.

Buy an original. That rifle deserves it, not a damn tacky repro.

My gunsmith always said, "its a 40 dollar bill".

Really nice shape! I'd call that a 95% gun overall and well worth 900-1000. I really like the darker finish on the stock. You did very well. I have two, one in 3006 and the other a 270. I have a L 2.5-8 on one and a new L Freedom 2-7 on the other. I like the smaller scope size and weight on the fwt rifles. Both weighed 6-15 bare and are right at 8 with scope and mounts. I use a 3-9 or 3-5-10 on my standard weights. Much heavier gun, can handle a bigger, heavier scope. Enjoy!

It’s probably not 95%, theirs some wear on the last 1/3 of the barrel that you can’t really see in the pics. And scars on the stock.
I thought about a smaller scope but I’ve read their may not be enough scope adjustment for proper eye relief.
