Got to fondle the Bergara B14 Rimfire Trainer at the LGS today. They received it yesterday. $1129 sticker price. This particular rifle was spoken for, but others are on the way.
Held it, and a HMR. Hard to tell the difference as far as weight and handling. The Rimfire may be a little easier handling, but that is IMHO do to the 18" vs 24" barrel that was on the HMR that I was comparing it to. Trigger was very good. I might have to think twice about swapping it out for a TriggerTech. Best I could tell, it is NOT a controlled round feed like the Vudoo. Lots of 'internet lawyers' over on another forum are suggesting that Bergara infringed on a patent. Not getting into that discussion.
It'll be interesting to see what sort of reports surface in the near future as to how this gun shoots. One can only hope that it approaches decent accuracy. Sticker on the barrel said 'Sub-MOA Guarantee'. Before I jump on the bandwagon and buy one, I do want to compare it to the CF barreled version that is supposed to ship in Feb/Mar.
I never thought I'd grow up to be a grumpy old man, but I did, and I'm killin' it.

So, sub MOA is less than 2” at 200 yards? Right?

So, sub MOA is less than 2” at 200 yards? Right? Yes. In a test tunnel.with no wind..:) Even with a 1/2 MOA rifle @ 50 yards (1/4" groups).good luck getting 2" groups at 200 in real world conditions (WIND)

My LGS also received one this week. I guess I’ll have to go shoot it. Heard them talking about it today. Carbon stock and very accurate. Someone mentioned it was the best shooting 22 they had ever shot. I’ve never shot a Bergara at all. Guess I’m missing out!

When will these be available. Haven’t found one anywhere Bergara began shipping them the last week of November. Better check with your LGS and see if they had a ticket on the train.

What is up with that monster magazine? It s a long range "trainer" for Short Action m700 plstorm rifles.. That Mattel looking mag is meant to mimic a .308 length AICS mag

What is up with that monster magazine? Christ that is hideous. It'll probably appeal to the Creedtards.

Stopped by again today. Revised sticker price was $929. A little more palatable than @ $1129 (which is closer to MSRP).

The mags do not work with the vudoo and vice versus as per a video by 22lrmarksman on Instagram. He did a accuracy test also that wasn’t too impressive, but we know how rimfires are with ammo and lots. He shoots that LRSU rimfire competition and seems rather knowledgeable. So we will have to wait and see.
I didn’t want to go vudoo but may have to. Just not sure if she will divorce me for it lol

I paid $440 for my Tikka T1. If the Bergara out shoots the Tikka I'll be surprised . So far both my Tikka CTR and Ruger Predator are proving to be more accurate than the Bergara B14 Hunter I have.
Most people don't really want the truth.
They just want constant reassurance that what they believe is the truth.
