I talked with him early last month. When asked why he bailed on the 'fire he said he'd had his fill of the socialist trolls and the other a$$holes that have trashed this site.
He noted that it's gotten far worse over the last couple of years and felt life was too short.
A wiser man than I.

There are , were 4-5 real assclowns on this site, a few are still here, but number 1 was perhaps the lowest of the low when it came to classless acts. It's the actions of these decadent few that leads me to believe so much in karma, and karma always seems to have a special way of showing its smiling face at just the right moment. Kurt is one of the good guys that added so much to this site, so he was naturally the target of those who brought so little . Merry Christmas to Kurt and his family at this great time of year.

Kurt's fine, though who knows if he'll back? He's taken extended Campfire vacations before. Apparently, however, he's found other places to buy/sell/trade firearms and related stuff, which is still one of his major occupations.

Kirk, posts on the Shiloh forum about his hunts with older guns and his newer guns he has picked up. He got a deal on a 45-70 1886 carbine awhile back and used a 94 rifle in 32-40 on a nice 4x4 mule buck. Google Shiloh rifle forum and search him. MB
