Largest critters to be shot?
Why not just stick with the 50 grain V-Max?
Same bullets as the Z-Max with a different colored tip.

Midsouth Shooters Supply sells bulk packages of Hornady BTHP in 62 grain as a hunting bullet. I can attest that they work fine on hogs. There is also a 52 grain that looks the same and priced about the same. Item# 153-2249C250. The 62 grain shoots out of my rifles to the same POI as 62 Barnes and a whole lot cheaper and kills hogs just as well so far.

55 Ballistic tips work in. 1 in 14 twist barrel. I want s 1 in 8 so I can blast away with the 62 Barnes.

For coyotes and smaller, I’ve use 50 ballistic tips with great success, for many years.
