Caught this one in the backyard the other morning headed down to my lake. Grabbed the 6.5 and racked one in the chamber then stepped out on the back porch and sent it!

To answer your questions: distance was 126 yards

The Remington is a "build"...700 action BDL..B&C Mountain rifle stock built for Remington ( like their Alaskan)

The Barrel is Mag contour...a take off from a Rem LVSF in .221 Fireball, rechambered to .222

The scope is a 3x9 SIG Whiskey 3 with illum reticle

This is easily my favorite all purpose varmint rifle...and it works on pigs too!

Does the reticle have an illuminated dot or illuminated crosshairs?

I am having a hard time finding a pic of reticle.

It has an illuminated dot...

I use Hawke scope quite a bit too and they have just the central part of the crosshair per se illuminated. Just bought one that has both red and green options...cant wait to try it out!

How much does the dot cover at say 100 yards?

Certainly not more than an inch in the SIG Whiskey and I have a Burris German #4 3P lighted reticle that covers an inch at 100 yds. The Hawkes likewise, about an inch.at that range.certainly no more
For night calling where shots are normally close, its easy peasy...shot can be a tad longer on hogs but Im making brain shots ( the last one at 126 yards) and thats a small target. No worries.

Heres the SIG reticle...
