I think there are cheaper ways to go but, at the same time I just got another Randall.
So, whatever works.

That's a good knife, but I'm sold on being able to open and close with one hand. I really like this blade shape better and the hole in the blade is the best way I've found to open one handed. https://www.smkw.com/benchmade-pardue-mini-griptillian-cpms30v-steel-black-gfn

If it's a POS, why would want another one? IMO, Gerber makes a decent bunch of various knives suitable for just about any use at reasonable prices. I've have one of their autos for a couple of years, as has my son, & they've been good. MM

You can get S30V steel on EDC knives for under 100 bucks. Look around including the buck web page. Point being, no matter what you get, get good steel.

I like Spyderco. With the hole, opening is easy. Lockback is easy enough one handed, other options can be had.

I’ve been carrying and abusing a Buck Spitfire (Made in USA) for 2.5 years. It’s indestructible and easy to put a quick edge on with a 10” Dexter Diamond sharpener (Made in USA). The black marker is from using it as a depth gauge this afternoon. This was right before, using it to scribe lines on a 4x10 sheet of aluminum.

Looking for a deep pocket EDC to pair with my CRKT assisted opener https://www.bladehq.com/item--CRKT-Carson-M402W-Knife-w--7647

hard to beat a mini grip as an EDC knife I second this, I"ve been carrying a mini-grip for 3 years and really like it. Mine has 154CM steel, which works very well. Newer ones seem to be coming in S30V. Which is "better" steel, but I personally don't like it as well. YMMV.
