Lots of false bravado here that would get you killed. We had a case about a month back where a guy walked into the bar to rob it at gun point. One of the patrons decided that he was going to play hero and save the few dollars the hold up guy got out of the till. Nope, shot in the chest and died at the scene. Some bad guy demanding your wallet isn't going to be doing it from 45' away.

At the risk of interrupting a good nascent pissin' match, has anyone used a Sig Romeo Zero or Shield RMSc? Has anybody experienced any trouble with the smaller window? I understand that a big part of consistent dot acquisition is practice and familiarity but I'm wondering if making these as small as possible hits a point of diminishing returns (semi-pun intended).
Gunnery, gunnery, gunnery. Hit the target, all else is twaddle!

I haven't used either of those microdots. But I've noticed a significant difference between the RMR and larger windows like the DPP and SRO. I wouldn't want to go smaller than the RMR.

Bluedreaux do you consider the ACRO as the best choice?

Well it depends on what you’re using it for. Because of the enclosed emitter it’s the obvious choice for a duty gun. But for concealed carry it does print noticeably more and the enclosed emitter probably isn’t as much of a benefit.

Which one fir a CCW The SRO and DPP are both good options and fall into the “tough enough for me” category. The RMR is the most drop resistant, but for CC I’ll trade a larger window for it being slightly less robust. The DPP has better glass but the SRO has more user friendly adjustments. I have two DPPs and one SRO. I’d use either for CC but my carry gun was cut for a DPP before the SRO was released.

Then STFU. The rest of your statement is superflous bullshit with no real bearing on this discussion other than to massage your own ego. Suckin' on my titties like you wanted me.

I’m not a cop or a tactical god of any kind but I do have a couple of dogs that I walk off leash a lot in the dark and they often get in fights with coons and coyotes. They can handle themselves but I still like to end the fights ASAP. I use my carry gun at night way more than most as a result.
Red dots and pistol mounted lights are an absolute game changer at night.
I’ve used a few different ones but I really like the dpp with the triangle. Mine has a small crack in the glass but it’s been that way for about 6 months and hasn’t lost zero.

Mav,
What would you shoot for Optics Carry Division? I use a DPP with the 2.5 dot. I just mounted an SRO on a new gun but may replace it with an ACRO to use on bad weather days. The SRO has a weird issue where if you use it facing directly into a rising or setting sun you’ll get a noticeable ghost dot. Guys have taken pics of it and the issue is googleable. I try to always shoot matches in a single day so it’s enough of a concern to keep the SRO off my primary gun for now.
