I want to know if anyone has used R19 in any '06 size cases? Have you had problems with R19 when it gets cold? I had a weird problem with it way back in 2002 in a 338WM. It could have been a fluke but need reassurance before I try it in a current .270? I figure you Alaska folks would know? smile

Yes. Well, nothing "weird" but it is temp sensitive. My 7WSM loved it, but it was all over the place with temp swings.

I used it in my 338wm with no issues in the cold... Live in TN and hunt out west with it....

I've used RL22 more than RL19, primarily in a 25-06. It can get dam cold in Alberta, right now it is -30. A boatload of dead deer are testimony to how much any temperature sensitivity mattered. I never knew there were any temperature sensitivity issues until read about it several years later.

Any misses, I blamed on bad range or wind estimation or poor shooting.

I'm now using RL17 in my 300WSM. From November in Alberta to South Africa, it has served me well.

Thanks Canuck! smile I was just thinking how I should ask some Maple Leafs how it works for them! ha I used R22 in a 300WM in Namibia...20 deg at night and 120 by noon, no issues I could tell. I shot the little Springbok and those big Gemsbok out to 375yds or so early/late and right around 11 AM. I shot four of each ( 1998). However, 61 gr in a 280 AI gave a very stiff bolt lift around 78 deg in Texas, it was perfect in Utah/WY...go figure? ha
