What’s the scoop? I’m guessing they suffer a tad in the accuracy department?

I've never put mine on paper, don't know what it'll do. But I tightened up the nut for snug lockup, and I kill all the rabbits I shoot at with it. (even the very unlucky jackrabbit at 180 yards, grin) It came "on", but I've been meaning to try it on paper. I'll let you know how it does.

Neither of mine shoot nearly as good at the solid-frames that have been tuned by CPC, but they shoot good enough to keep rolling 12 ounce pop cans for a long as you can squeeze the trigger before the magazine is empty.

I've got one and I love it.

As far as accuracy goes the only time it gets shot on paper is to confirm the irons are still zeroed for 25 yards. The rear elevation screw had a tendency to move until I smeared some clear nail polish on it.

I did have to send the bolt to CPC to be 'tuned' and by 'tuned' I mean 'made the way Ruger should have made it at the factory.'

And I had to drop in a Volquartsen hammer to get the trigger the way Ruger should have made it at the factory.

But you have to throw money at the non-take-down 10/22s a lot of the time as well.

You didn't ask about this but I also have a take-down Browning SA-22 and that was good to go right from the box. Love that one too.

Mine shoots well enough for me. I've been feeding in 36gr mini-mags, can't remember that last, or any hiccup with it. It's my back door pest rifle.

I had issues with the sights on mine -- I was never able to get the factory sights to zero where I wanted them to. Always too high. weird.
Anyways, I got aftermarket iron-sights and now I'm happy. It's a fun rig, but it is not quite as accurate as my standard 10/22. Good enough after the sight swap, though!

I love mine, get the barrel snug and do two more clicks, you don't want it to take down without some effort. you'll be good to go. I picked up a used one for a good deal, next thing you know I put the backpacker stock on it which I love, upgraded the trigger, fixed 4x leupold rimfire. neat little setup.

I’m thinking it’d be perfect for a little backcountry squirrel rodeo....

I keep mine in my pack while deer/moose/caribou hunting up in AK for the times I come across grouse and ptarmigan. And it's so perfect for that.

Mine shoots pretty accurately. I can hit clay pigeons at 100 yards regularly.

I had a gunsmith add a rail directly to the barrel and mounted a Leupold FXII 2.5x.

Also does well in the woods on squirrels. Plus it is quiet with the suppressor.
