Does anyone make jeans-slacks with the waist above the hip anymore? I think our recent low rider fad is caused from men having a gut too big. I am a 28" waist now and would like to be able to wear pants above my hips so I don't have to use a belt.

Check out Dickies 874 "Original Work Pants". Walmart carries them in blue, black, and khaki. You could see if they suit you there and if so, Amazon has them in many more colors.

Give Duluth Trading Ball Room jeans a try they have a longer rise and are a bit tougher too.

When I was fat I had to wear the lower pants because my gut would have pushed my jeans down anyway. Now my stomach is smaller than my hips and I would just like to be able to wear jeans without a belt and have them stay in place.

When I had a 32" waist I wore Dickies work pants for that very reason.

High waisted jeans for men in the right fit always look wonderful on a man, and are a pleasure to see on a man. Levis' Mens 550 relaxed fit. Levis Mens 505 Regular Fit Jeans. Google "high waisted jeans" and see what you like and what is available and where. Lynn

I wish they made jeans like that now,but honestly most of the men I see around here are so fat their jeans have to snap just below the nipples or just below the gut. As I have been on this weight loss journey it astounds me when I see old movies and see how men have just got fatter over the years. In movies before the 50's only a tiny percentage of men were over weight. Then look at the average weight of military men over the century and it becomes quite revealing that something is wrong with the standard American diet.
