100% chance of flowsnakes. Coming down at an inch an hour or better. Last night, the southwest winds peaked at 30 mph and the temps soared to 53° ahead of the storm front. It's now 31°. Chances are I'll be running the blower by the time the storm passes at about noon.
It's going to be a royal PITA for all those working stiffs who commute, but a pleasant morning for me! On my second cuppa right now, about to head upstairs for a light breakfast. Plan to hit the treadmill for a bit, then bundle up for snow duties.

Supposed to get 3-6" today. Wind is 20-30 now and prediction is gusts to 50 by this evening.
I can walk on water.......................but I do stagger a bit on alcohol.

In Utah, we have snowbirds who never leave the state! St George for the winter (still golf weather there) and a summer cabin in the mountains around Ogden valley. In Spring, it is entirely possible to snow ski in the morning and golf or fish in the afternoon here in Ogden.

Here in the East Kootenays (about 25 miles north of Eureka Montana) It has been snowing most every day for the last two weeks. Over a foot and a half of settled snow on the ground. Warmed up a bit (7 degrees F this morning) but still cold enough it will take a bit of work to get the ol Cat running. I should have parked it up by the house so I could have some heat on it.
We've been on snowshoes for the last couple of days to walk the dog . GD

About a 3 inch dusting of powdery snow last night its about 12 F. They're calling for about 4 inches today and the same tomorrow although by then it might be mixed with rain or it could be freezing rain. Oh joy.

Yep, a foot roughly and coupled with 30+ mph winds should make for a fun day. School is closed. My wife is on the way back from visiting her mother in the hospital and has to travel 150 miles in this.
What you do today is important, you are trading a day in the rest of your life for it.

It actually snowed for about an hour yesterday here in Lake County CA. Not enough to stick at lake level, but Mt. Konocti is still all white.
