Treat myself every once and a while to a cafe con leche. Boiled milk, instant coffee and sugar. I have one once or twice a week in the evenings before bed. Drink good black coffee all day every day but this is a treat.

Is that sorta like Cuban coffee?
Had some in Miami recently w/o the sugar,quite strong (which I enjoy),my son called it Cuban?

No idea. This is a [bleep] cheap coffee drink anyone can make for close to nothing. Poor man latte. I like one on occasion, like a dessert for diehard black coffee drinkers.

I mean I have seen people put milk and sugar in coffee before.

Maybe twice a month in the winter I'll make a coffee mocha; 1/2 coffee and 1/2 milk chocolate cocoa.
Other than that it's black coffee for me, the stronger the better.

Used to do the Baileys in the coffee thing, called it camp coffee.

We just drink it black now, so switched out the baileys for Kahlua !!

They say, "once you've had black, you never go back" !

Speaking of freezing your nuts off, it was minus 33*c, before wind chill this morning !

I make up a mix I call "Oh My God"

Pre-mix one part brandy, one part Kahlua, one part Tia Maria, and one part Grand Marnier. Store in a sealable bottle.

Pour two ounces into a mug and top with black coffee. Serve and the person's first words will be "Oh my God!"
