In Iowa the Fairway stores sell the seasoned ground pork they call hamloaf. It was on sale at 2.50 a pound.
Bake it for an hour, and a half.

While not ham loaf, I mixed 50% Honey Baked Ham into my venison breakfast sausage recipe. The result was outstanding !

Bake it for an hour, and a half. Fareway makes it 1/3 pork and 2/3 ham. My wife sets pineapple rings in the bottom of the pan and makes a sauce of the juice from the can of pineapple (NEEDS TO BE HEAVY SYRUP, not natural juice): 1 1/2 cups brown sugar, 1/2 cup of vinegar, 1/2 cup of the heavy syrup from the can, 2 tsp. ground mustard. She boils it to thicken before pouring it over the loaf before it goes into the oven.

Ham loaf just sounds so wrong but I love it!

A butt ham is cheaper. The loaf is smaller, and easier.
