I just reviewed Hickok's video where the problem started, and it seems clear his finger wasn't on the trigger when he was cocking it. Hard to believe the Yankee Marshall didn't see that.

Is the opinion of either of these idiots a factor in buying anything?

Only a total [bleep]-for-brains would troll this forum with a post about Yankee Marshall dissing Hickok45. Go back to watching your soaps.

My interest is, of course, strictly to do with whether this was indeed a mechanical issue or, as the Yankee Marshall is suggesting, a user error. I have zero interest in "dissing" Hickok45. That's a pretty silly accusation.

As I said above, looking at Hickok's video again, it appears to me that he wasn't causing the problem as the Marshall is suggesting, which means it was indeed mechanical. I was wondering if others here saw it the way I did.

Yankee Marshal is a total dip [bleep]. He's the Cummings Cowboy of Youtube. What ever he says, do the opposite and you will be close to right.

Truth.

I’m amazed that Skanky Marshmallow has any viewers, not to mention subscribers. Even Jenna Marbles has better contact.

“V spring”

https://youtu.be/HrLYZruNw_g

This video predates all the above videos. I sorta thought this is a nothing burger blown out of proportion by the “youtube media”.

All revolvers can be short stroked. No?

I’m sorta waiting for what some guy named “Jerry” has to say about all the hubbub. grin

So you think it was user error rather than a mechanical issue?

I’m thinking it is a combination of both - an overly light V spring that thus tends to not prevent short stroking.

I guess if I ever buy a colt for any reason then I will need to watch for this. I am doing fine with Ruger and S&W handguns. Colt has always been overpriced for me while I was a working stiff. Now that I'm semiretired and have a little bit of change I will stay mostly with Ruger. Colt is okay if you like them but I will stay with what I have some experience with. And my day doesn't go good or bad according to the Yankee Doofus Dandy. Or was that Glockdoofus? Be Well, Rustyzipper.

I had a Colt Anaconda for a while. It was a big disappointment. Sloppy loose cylinder release, and the cylinder would bind in DA or SA. Timing issue I presume.

All I need to know about that guy, is that he makes a veiled claim of being a mind reader at the end of that video. But I already figured he's a poser.

I watched Hickok45's video. The gun messed up and he didn't do what the Yankme Marshull said at least two times it fouled up. Unless my computer is seeing things wrong which is not impossible. Plus I had my glasses on upside down and didn't know it until i went to Burger King and everyone was laffin at me.
That is the reason I have switched over to carrying an Encore 15 inch 45/70 in appendix position..
I carry extra rounds in a wrist band and if I go somewhere I expect more that 6 rounds of trouble I put 2 extra between my teeth.
It is hard to eat a hamburger and fries that way but i endeavor to persevere.
Got funny looks when i went to a country cookin restaurant with an attorney friend the other day.

If Ken says it's so, then it is..My opinion anyway...BUT, I think he's wrong on the investment value of the original Pythons. Then again, I have a vested interest smile

Ken is correct in what he says. The "new Python" not always working correctly is also true

That was my take, looking back at Hickok's handling of the new Python.

The problem is legitimate. Pawl is jumping. Shipments on hold. Will take time to sort the issue.
