Good morning gentlemen...
In going thru my grandfathers estate I came across and commandeered the knife you see here.. I only know a bit about these blades from what I’ve read on the internet the past few days. He was 94 when he passed and mom says if she recalls correctly this was his Boy Scout knife...

Any information on the company in general or about this knife would be much obliged, as I know you all have some knowledge stored away about such things..

Don’t know if the sheath is original, it has his initials lightly etched in it. It will never be sold, but do these hold value other than nostalgia?
Thank you much!

My dad has one like that. Holds a good edge.

Can't give you any other info.

That is a really cool knife and story.
The personal value to you is probably 10 times the resale value which I would guesstimate at something less than $100.

I am pretty sure that is not an original sheath. If it were, I think it would say Marbles on it
and have a snap strap to secure the knife.

In pretty nice shape for the age, especially the leather handle.

Sharpen it and use it while thinking of Grand Dad.

Couldn't be a Boy Scout knife these days. They might think it toooo intimidating to the girls.

If you carry it afield, you might want to have a more secure sheath made for it.

Nice old knife. I posted a pic of a Marbles a few days ago but without the great family story. I learned a little more about mine at another site, and agree that the sheath is a replacement. My sheath is original but certainly wouldn't have lasted long if it was actually used!

Sheath isn't original - knife has some value tho it's not in pristine condition.

Made in Gladstone Michigan. Generally fair to very good steel. Lots of Marbles collectors out there. They basically scream "American Hunting History" to me and I'm a big fan. My Great Grandfather ran the Marbles knife shop for many years.

MRK, thank you and others for the input. I didn’t think the sheath was a good match.
So true about scaring the scouts and 100% agree on an upgraded sheath should I decide to take it out and about.

Teal that’s pretty cool about your GGF..and yes knives like this probably have a few stories to tell yeah?

I’ll try for some better pics outside soon

My dad's Marbles Woodcraft circa 1942. BSA version. He turns 91 years old next month...

Some of the knife supply houses sell sheath kits.
You may want to look at what they have and do it yourself.
