What's your preference?

Why?

I have both types of receivers and find I like the Dural more, especially as I get older.

I've found about as many loose guns with either material.

To be completely honest, for my realistic use, Dural would easily last me the rest of my life and probably would had I started with one 25 years ago. But, you asked for a preference. I really still prefer steel. It's obviously an opinion thing and steel is just......right.....whether it is or not.....lol!!

I like Dural. It can make for a nice light gun, like my little Krieghoff drilling (6 lbs bare) which I enjoy carrying as well as shooting, and since it passes German proof I have no reservations about strength. I'm not going to stretch the friendship with hot loads either - I see no need.
