Does anyone know the weight of a barreled action (everything but stock) of a Remington 700 ADL in 30-06 with a Sporter weight barrel?
Thanks

This used to be on brown precision’s website. It’s worth having around.

2 lbs 6 1/2 ounces plus 2 lbs 11 ounces is 5 lbs 1 1/2 ounces.

2 lbs 6 1/2 ounces plus 2 lbs 11 ounces is 5 lbs 1 1/2 ounces. At 22” the standard sporter in a .308 should be a few ounces less; I think 2lb 7oz ish. Nicking pits but I think 4 pounds 13 oz would be my wager.

A 24" SS bbl with .650" muzzle chambered for 30-06 weighs 40.7 ozs on my scale.
A 22" SS Mtn contour with .540 muzzle chambered for 30-06 weighs 31.8 ozs.

Based on these numbers, a Remington 700 ADL 30-06 with 22" Sporter barrel in a stock that weighs 26 oz should come in right at 6.5 pounds. That sound about right?

I guessed on the barrel weight by using Shaw barrels contour weights for Remington contours. But yes give or take 5 ounces you are in the ballpark.
