Does anyone know where to buy giant turnip seeds for deer food plot?
I saw a plot this past year the tops must have been 2 ft high and the globe 6" across. The deer were really hammering both tops and globes. I have planted regular purple tops several times with mixed results.

Sure that wasn’t rutabaga? Looks a lot like a turnip, but gets a lot bigger.

Think they were developed at Auburn. Mother grew some last year that were the size of small cabbage heads. Good all the way through, not pithy like large purple tops get. Slightly milder than purple tops but really good. Will try to ask my brother where he got the seed.

They are called Just Right hybrid Turnips. Seeds can be ordered online for around $20 for 5K. Remember, these things are huge, so should not be planted near as thick as normal. They are a fall hybrid so perfect for late season food plots.

Gurney's is the first name that popped up on a duckduckgo.com search
